    Compare with PADs and Orcad before you make a decision - both offer all the high end features but without out the Altium "strangeness".

     

    There are others - CADSTAR for one .

     

    (These suggestions are NOT recommendations  - you have to own a PCB CAD system to know it !)

     

    Are you sure that Kicad won't cut the mustard - I see some quite advanced work done with it:

    If you want to do serious high speed digital or fancy RF (for example, check out Dave Jones' teardown of Chinese spectrum analysers) then AFAIK none of the above will get you there - and it'll be time to sell the house and buy Xpedition Enterprise.
