I find that my brain doesn't really turn on until my backside is in a chair. I would have to say that the most used article in my little lab is the chair. I have an old wheeled arm chair that belonged to grandma and is now partially held together with...... you guessed it ..... Duct Tape.
I know I can vote, but why should I? The question is too general (how can I do anything without some kind of power supply? But after that I take a multimeter. and a scope. So what do I 'reach for'? I wouldn't know), and the depiction of items is too wide-ranged (text editor vs. high-end oscilloscope??).
Apart from that, you'll only find this poll if you're reading the front page. I found it because I'm following Mark, and he commented here. Most of the time, I follow e14 through email or go directly to my inbox, so most of the time I miss / skip the landing page.
The discussion that takes place here is more interesting than the output of the poll.
These are great suggestions! I especially like pen and paper.
I just realized that it may not be too obvious how to actually vote on this poll. You have to select an option (even "Other" if you made a comment telling us what we missed), then scroll to the bottom of the entries and click the Vote button.
You know you need glasses when you have to put the menu on the ground to read it.
Problem is the font is now too small to read.
We have issues with monitors and the distance they are, sometimes it suits, sometimes it doesn't, and since there are 22 mostly in a line, it's hard to move all of them.
And no you can't just make the picture bigger, most are fixed size due to the application.
