The ESP8266 is a low-cost Wi-Fi chip with full TCP/IP stack and microcontroller capability produced by Shanghai-based Chinese manufacturer, Espressif Systems. The chip first came to the attention of western makers in August 2014 with the ESP-01 module, made by a third-party manufacturer, AI-Thinker. This small module allows microcontrollers to connect to a Wi-Fi network and make simple TCP/IP connections using Hayes-style commands. However, at the time there was almost no English-language documentation on the chip and the commands it accepted. The very low price and the fact that there were very few external components on the module which suggests that it could eventually be very inexpensive in volume, attracted many hackers to explore the module, chip, and the software on it, as well as to translate the Chinese documentation.

Peter.....Let me be clear I am not onto affiliate marketing here.....I am aware of your YouTube channel and follow sometime....Only affliate link on the video is to the ESP8266 module and as It happend as i copied it from my channel description and posted directly. I didn't know the community have such restrictions on posting. I thought of sharing tutorial with others if they like they will subscribe and if don't they will not right. As a youtuber i definitely love more subscribers but not as you mentioned above otherwise I could have gone for other cheap ways.....You could have asked me to remove the affiliate link, I understand that but not like this....If I have violated any rules I am ready to leave the community.......

Some of the links are affiliate links by the look of them so just be aware. Folks here also like to subscribe here for their info as it has over 400,000 subscribers and is very active and helpful community

I have also a YouTube channel etc but don't try to gain subscribers in such a obvious fashion.

Contribute to the community, link in your applicable youtube videos directly (As you did above) along with some useful verbiage for the few who don't like to watch videos image you know who you are don't you....., sketches etc so people can watch and read through them here. (Yes you can do that, I do it all the time) based on my projects I am working on. If folks like what you're doing, they will go look for more from you without the need of such a blatant marketing ploy
