Hi,

I've decided to record quick video using the ESP8266 ESP-01 WiFi Transceiver Module.

It's just getting started guide in how to establish the serial communication to send AT commands with an Arduino or a FTDI programmer.

I hope you find this video useful.

You can also visit the link below for more information in how to use this module.

bobcroft Thanks, Bob, I went straight onto eBay and located both items for sale by audiospectrumanalyzers. They also list a lot of links.

Looks good for a future project.

Neil,  The -12 version is the better bye because it has more available I/O pins.  There are some really nice adapter boards to convert it to 0.1" pin spacing (Bread board friendly).  One BO board from www.audiospectrumanalyzers.co.uk is a SIL package with clear pin markings.

RuiPT Thanks also for that, Rui.

I found a comparison of the different variants of the esp8266 - it suggested the -03 was the most popular. Would you agree?

Basically you can create a web server for $4! It's pretty amazing this module!
