At some point in time in our lives we have all created projects outside the scope of work and never got any credit for it. Here is your chance to show off your side projects and/or work projects where you programmed hardware boards like Arduino and Raspberry Pi using MATLAB and/or Simulink.

You could win up to $1000

This challenge is open to everyone over the age of 18 and community gets to vote for their favorite project.

Steps to enter the challenge –

  1. Create an original video and upload it to YouTube with the tag:#MATLABHW2k16 on or before 18 July 2016 (5 p.m. EST)
  2. Complete the entry form by 25 July 2016 (5 p.m. EST)

For more details and the challenge rules please visit the homepage for this challenge.

Thank you very much to pay attention to our project! Indeed, our project is rather complicated. But our team will work on robotics. And we are ready to cooperate in the mobile robots development !

The winners were announced this past week via social media and here is a short write up about the winners image - Meet the winners of MATLAB and Simulink Hardware Challenge | MakerZone

dzick - I really enjoyed your video. I personally believe this video would have done complete justice to the project's technical prowess if there was a voice over explaining the project. Given that I have tried something similar in grad school I realized how hard the project is to complete but that might not have been true with the rest of the viewers image.

As part of the competition "MATLAB & Simulink Hardware Challenge 2016" lots of teams from around the world were invited to a number of projects based on the Raspberry Pi. Oddly enough, most of the projects concerned the robotics. Our team also took part with two parallel projects on Raspberri Pi, which are described in the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42we9W22iCM
