@Brendan Your video is somewhat adequate for the intended purpose, however, from an engineer's point of view it is lacking in providing pertinent facts. Such as the part number, data sheet, and source…

Jeremy, thanks for your intro videos. I am just getting started myself in Arduino though I have done some simple electronics projects using Atmel chips. Here is an example using ATTiny13 chips. www.youtube…

Hi Jeremy I've built a device (see picture) with an Arduino and Ethernet shield that connects to our Network Monitor (Nagios) and moves an arrow to indicate if any of the computers we monitor are not responding…

    Hello sir,

can we implement a GSM module as the input to an arduino, to extract the message?

    Hello Jeremy,

I have successfully burned a new Arduino bootloader on to an atmega328 with a AVRISP mkII using the very easy-to-use options in the Arduino software.  I would like to know a slick way I could burn an Arduino bootloader with an Arduino sketch of my choice on to an atmega328 in one operation.  Without needing to burned an Arduino bootloader first then uploading the sketch next.

    Cheers, Tully

Can anyone help to prepare a project based on microcontroller to sense the temperature of transformer oil and provide alert in the case of high temperature

Find a temperature sensor that will work in oil and connect through an Arduino analog input. Use an LED as an output for the alarm. Work out the breakpoint figure for the temperature that will set off the alarm and the code should almost write itself

Take analog input Vt every x seconds

If Vt is greater than or equal to breakpoint

    activate LED

Does Eagle have a realtime Design rule check in the manual route mode? I can move and draw traces over other traces without any warning.

You could use the AD737 (can buy from Farnell) and will probably need a pre-amplifier. Another possibility (not true RMS) is described in the data sheet for AD8510/12/13. AD8512ARZAD8512ARZ is available from Farnell as well.

Hello, I am completely new to arduino and microcontroller programming. For now I already made a few small projects (easy stuff - from tutorials I found).

I would like to ask you, how I have to assemble the Prototype Shield A000025 (Farnell Product Number 1848696) which I received today. After searching in the web, I found several different Prototype Shields from different manufactures and almost all of them have a tutorial how to assemble it. But the print I received looks completely different from all others. The Layout looks like this:

    Fullscreen contentimage_176748.html Download
    <html><head><title>Jive SBS</title></head>
    <body><font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">
    <b>Error</b><br><font size="-1">
An general error occurred while processing your request.
    </font></font></body></html>

The content of the Package arrived today from farnell/Element14 is:

    - the prototype print itself

    - 3 5mm LED's (green, yellow, red)

    - 15 Resistors (5 x 1 kOhm, 5 x 220 Ohm, 5 x 10 kOhm)

    - 2 Tactile switches

    - 1 40 pin male header

    - 1 2 by 3 pin male header

I am missing 2 times a 6 pin female header and 2 times a 8 pin female header (with long pins in order to connect them to the arduino and use the females on top for connections with the mini breadboard i would like to tape on top). Like you could see on the next picture:

The package did not include any female pin headers at all

    image

    - Could you please tell me, which Resistors have to be used and where (on the print I can only figure out that 2 Resistors are needed, but not which one)?

    - I think the Resistors are used for the 2 LED's, so which R would then be the right one for the 5mm LED's which came with it?

    - I am also unsure how the reset switch (package contains 2 switches) has to be connected to the arduino uno, in order to use the reset on the protoshield (on the print it is marked at the right side (centered), close to the ICSP Connectors, but I could not find any further connections on the print directly

    - Is it possible to bring up the ICSP connector to the prototype shield? Arduino Board has a 2 by 3 pin male connector and the protoshield package contains only another 2 by 3 pin male connector - how should they fit (femal pins missing)?

Sorry for my bad english - I probably made some mistakes or I used the wrong names for some parts.

Thank you very much for any help in assembling this protoshield.

    Many regards,

    dragonfly.67

    greetings,

I'm a student and for my thesis i'm making a quadrocopter.

I have seen that you need at least a 3-axe gyroscope. My question is now many gyroscopes have other specs such as 300°/s or 600°/s, can some1 explane me this?

And if you have other specs i minimally require for making a quadrocopter please enlighten me.

    yours cincerely,

    TB

    Hi Jeremy,

I have a question about a 3300uF 25V Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor. I need to replace this capacitor in an old radio. The question is: the cap I have is about 2" long and I can't seem to find one the same length. Is the size important or can I use a shorter one with the same ( 3300uF 25V ) rating? Thanks
