Hi all, I am going to start working on an Open Source thermal printer built around an Arduino, with plastic parts that can be built with a reprap like 3d printer . I am in my research stage at the moment. And the one thing I am having a lot of trouble finding is direct thermal print heads. Has anyone had any experience with these things? Or know where I could get one or even the data sheet for one? You would think that they would be quite common. Its old technology, which is found almost everywhere we go. I would have to say that about 90%+ of all eftpos/receipt printers have one in them.
So any tips would be greatly appreciated
