Hi I'm making my own arduino alike board.
Now I was wondering what are Pros and Cons for crystal and ceramic resonator like http://nl.farnell.com/ael-crystals/c20m000000l001/resonator-ztt-20mhz/dp/1448130
I need the board to be able for reliable RS232/485/422 , I2C, SPI communications.
Who can help me out on this issue with reason why.
I know rs232/485/422 baudrate should be within 3% to be reliable and resonator is 0.5% so maximum is between the edges 1% (correct me if I'm wrong)
for I2C and SPI I don't know the exact specs for baudrate drift.
