My NPS plan now includes adding a DXG-125v controlled by Multicomp Arduino Mini to the back of my bicycle.
It would take 4 still pictures per second to document what vehicle is approaching me and in what manner.
The video camera comes with a 3.7 volt lithium battery which might be tapped for powering the Mini Arduino.
Since there are only two buttons needed to utilize it (power and snap-a-still) once the camera is placed in the correct mode; an effectively placed servo could be used externally to the camera or I could hack the control board and bring out the 4 wires like in the YouTube videos. However, I strongly suspect that the USB interface on the camera must have some kind of command code capability but the DXG customer service rep. practically laughed at me for asking about features that are only available in "high end cameras".
