Hi Raphael,

I live in Chicago and enjoy making projects with Arduinos. There is a group on Meetup but I don't think it has gotten much traction yet: http://www.meetup.com/Arduino101/

I'm a member of Chicago's hackerspace, The specified item was not found., which has periodic Arduino workshops. There is also a weekly Tuesday open house and meeting where you'll surely find folks working with Arduinos. Here's the events calendar: http://pumpingstationone.org/events/

There's another hackerspace in the west suburbs called Workshop 88. They have classes and regular meetings, too. Check out there site: http://workshop88.com/

Also, Chibots has a strong microcontroller focus which I think includes Arduino.

Please share if you find any other local Arduino related groups.
