I was about to buy a LD2933DNEE4 ic when I decided to check my local electronics store to see if I could feed my impatients... Unfortunatly, they had none of just the IC... Although... They did have kits, i.e. it was about $35 and it had a board, solder, resisters transistors and i think capacitors... It said that it could upvolt (i.e. it was a minor amplification board + motor controller) and I was wondering... Whats better? to run the required volts increasing the volts for the motor or to use somthing to up the volts?
The only reason I like the other is because it is the entire setup on a nice neat board... I just don't know if its worth the extra cash.. Also, I do believe it has some sort of surge protection... if I were to just buy the IC, how could I also protect my bored agains surges (from say solar ration spikes or w/e gonna cause a spike!
Thanks for the help!
