Hello everyone,
I am new to this site and I think I have caught the bug of wanting to do every single project I can think of!
For my first one, I would like to do something similar to the following link.

Basically, this system has a controller which the user can set a number (between 0.00 and 19.99). That number is then output to a display board mounted in a remote location.
I would think this could be done fairly easily with a Rasberry Pi or Arduino device.
Any advice, help, instructions, or tips would be greatly appreciated. Please remember that I have never done anything like this before!!
