Paying Job: Arduino Tilt, Roll, and Heading (with adafruit sensors?)

Hello,

 

I hate this to be my first post, but this is my need. Sorry if this is not the right place to post this...

 

I want to sense tilt, roll, and heading (tilt compensated) with an Arduino. I am new on programming, and finding the software side of the matter too challenging for my amount of free time. Currently I am using an Adafruit LSM303DLHC accelerometer + magnetometer, but I am open to using any other hardware so long as it is common, affordable, and available long-term.

 

So here it is: It is worth cash if you can supply the ability to return tilt, roll, and heading with rights released to me for any use. Name your price.

    I am building a fullsize flight simulator of a Boeing 767. I want to synchronize 2 Saitek yokes & add force feedback using stepper motors. I am a physician who learned electronics in the 70's. I  using Hartley built transmitters  using  Hartley & Colpits oscilators, as well as receiverbuilt helical antennas for moonbounce.  I worked on the first amateur radio satellite OSCAR 10 (still in orbit!)

    .

    IC's were just starting. The newest "thing" was the MOSFETs.

     

    I'm trying to catch up fast. Can anyone give me an idea where to start?

    Sounds like a great opportunity to share development costs!

     

    It looks like AdaFruit already has a nice example to get you started for their Accelerometer and Magnetometer: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1120

     

    Sounds like a really fun project, but sadly I don't have time to take on anything more myself - hopefully you'll find someone in these forums who has the time and skillset to get you going!

     

    ps, if you're not stuck on using Arduino, the Freescale FRDM-KL25z is an inexpensive easy-to-use alternative. For about $12 it's about the size of an Arduino Uno and it already includes an accelerometer and the related samples to use it. It works with mbed.org, which also has a cookbook full of examples for Accelerometers and related sensors.

    That is not the best project for you to start, but is not a project that hard that you have to pay for it. Start with some tuts and you will be able to complete your project, if you need any help, just send me a PM and I will be glab to help you.

    I have done this before (actually several times). I am pretty sure that you can get a good tutorial just by googling but if you do not want to do the programming and ...your self, of course I will gladly do it for money.

    It helps you understand 3 dimensional rotation and tilt compensation.
