Try using this LED matrix to create something with it (for example a game or a screen). Practicing with it would help you a lot with Arduino.

I am trying 16 LEDs in a 4x4 matrix, the first time I wired my board , it didn't work properly - then I noticed I wired the LEDs wiring wrong - so gonna alter it!
i resently order a bunch of 74hc595s (25 of them) from EBay , i am thinking of using 4 of them to control 32 LEDs
