Hi,

I already posted this but got nothing back, am new to it all sorry if I am doing it incorrectly.

 

 

Wondering if anyone can help e please. I have been googling arduino projects with regards to sound and accelerometer 335 and seem to be coming blank.

I ve looked to adafruit and instructables and all discussions here however some ideas might be near but none are using the acc above.

 

What I am trying to do is, with the pulse sensor I would like to use this accelerometer when the pulse races the sound frequency or melody increases along with colour and the mood of the person.

 

Its a combination with sound and mood, with your pulse and temperature. Can anyone help please or recommend any site that might have something similar.

    in the spirit of helping

     

    this will give you plenty of examples to learn how to use the accelerometer Let me google that for you

     

    this has plenty of example of making melody with the Arduino on various output devices Let me google that for you

     

    learn about each one and how to use them, then you can combine the two sketches and get your accelerometer driven melody maker

     

    you also then start writing about temperature and mood and pulse so there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what your trying to do

     

    please update the description to be clearer as to your objectives, a diagram would help immensely to go with the updated description

     

    your need may well be unique up to now so I doubt you will find an exact match to your project and if you did then you would learn very little from the experience regarding programing and making. So I would suggest you don't try to find the perfect match and instead gather the various parts required to combine into your project. The two links I have provided above should get you started. I am not sure what you where googling for but I found these pretty quickly based on your descriptions

    Ok sorry for not explaining things better. My fault, what I am trying to do is, when a persons pulse is taken with a sensor and the readings of this sensor indicates that the person is excited, happy, sad or just simply ok then music will play to the mood of the person, the xlr should come into to play with the same idea as when the user when connected to the pulse sensor moves a certain angle / xyz then a melody will also play.

     

    Is this even possible or is it too much going on in the one project, it is a combined project and my section is adding sound to the data received on the pulse sensor, when happy music high and melody is happy when sad or low music/melody is sad and weepy. The accelerometer is also my own part when the user moves it s also linked to the music.

     

    Thanks for your previous reply much appreciated, however not really helping much as i had already googled those both areas and have already come across them. Have you or anyone other suggestions to help me?

    @Deirdre - have you much experience in building electronic stuff - I ask because it makes a difference to things I or others might suggest.

     

    It isn't usual to use an accelerometer to measure pulse rate - almost all the hobby sensors I've seen use an optical method.

     

    Google "images for human pulse sensor" for ideas.

    ive no background in this type thing, so havnt a clue what i am doing to be honest.

    Trying to come up with ways to use the accelerometer and the heart pulse sensor with a speaker ! havnt a clue think i am going mad!

    We all end up MAD after doing this long enough, where did you think the term "Mad Scientist" come from

     

    But more seriously, I tend to agree with Michael, Accelerometer is not suitable for this kind of application, do you have any other sensors  or projects you can try, an example would be say a pedometer or a car driving aid detecting if you accelerate or slowdown too fast, take corners to fast etc

     

    something more suitable for an accelerometer

    It includes code for flashing, and talks about speaker, but that could be from the Processing (computer) software.
