Dear Element 14,

We are a small Tech startup from Copenhagen Denmark, we are trying to make it easier for Makers and DIY people to create their own gadgets and help connect their appliances to the internet.

Our device “mono” will have the following Technical specs:

NXP LPC1765 ARM Cortex-M3, 64kb SRAM, 256 kb Flash

Wifi 802.11g *

Bluetooth LE *

2.2″ TFT Resistive Touch Display

Lithium-Ion battery, 420mAh

3-Axis Accelerometer

Buzz Speaker

SD Card

Hardware Expansion Connector

Micro USB for changing and device/host functionality

Ambient Temperature Sensor

Custom Function Button

Arduino Compatible

Everything integrated in a beautiful PVC casing

*Optional

Estimated Pricerange: $79-129 + shipping

mono is planned to launch on Kickstarter on 21. October and on the website www.getmono.com

We would like to involve element14 users before going live, so if anyone is interested in providing ideas, use cases, or just general feedback, we welcome it very much. I will try to organize all the information in this thread, back and forth to get the most out of the process. At the moment, we cannot offer much besides the possibility to help shape and tribute to a cool product, that hopefully most of you can see yourselves using in the future.

For those interested to get a deeper involvement – We are also looking for 5 hardware makers and 5 software makers, who would like to beta test on some of the first Hardware and Software available. This way you can help finalize and bug test the mono before it is ready to ship to Kickstarter backers.

If you are interested, see  our website www.getmono.com

Thank you very much in advance, and let me know what you think.

best regards

mono
