I have an Otter case on my Iphone. The Otter box is fine for mechanical protection but useless against water and dust. I have to remove the phone to clean it which is a bit of a nuisance. When I change…

If you want to go the Android route, I would suggest one of the Motorola phones, such as the Moto G or the Moto X. The hardware is really solid, the support is nice, and the price is awesome! (100-200 USD). If you wanted something a little bit more exotic though, I would suggest the Jolla (Jolla - We are unlike), it runs a pure GNU/Linux OS called Sailfish OS, and it is really cool! The modern applet support (not apps as in Linux packages... there are loads of those, but actual native phone apps) is not super great right now, but we are expanding it all the time, and, you can run all of your favorite Android apps too! Plus, it is Open Source, so you can view and develop code for it for free (as in free, and freedom!). Plus, it is a phone that can run VIM, so life is good.

I loved my iPhone 5, I love my iPhone 6 plus more! You get what you pay for, plus don't expect the screen to last by the good graces of God without protection lol I recomend Griffen Survivor cases

If you use the Otterbox brand of cases, they come with a lifetime guarantee and believe me, they work at keeping you happy

Both my kids broke the case of their phones and all I needed to do was print a form, place the broken parts on the form where indicated, take a quick photo of the lot and email it to them with minimal info (No Proof of payment required), within a week I had two brand new cases for them

Very cool, they live by their claims

    Peter

Otter box is ok, but Griffen is rated better cause it has more spongy rubber, it is easy to pop the protector screen off to clean and will let you do away with the screen for the glass surface touch and you actually can remove the clear plastic and use the edge dress for glass surface touch, otter box is a bugger to get into
