Arduino - Ethernet module pin out, diffent model/renamed pins ? (missing SI pin)

This module has 6 pins.

I should only be using a few of them,,,  mainly

5v - GND - CS - SCK - SI and SO, and possible RST to GND

That's atleast what the guides say, however this module is missing the SI,

ofcourse i know it's there, but it's running under a different name, but which ?

I think i got it,   the SI replacement is actually ST,,  not sure what the T represents...

and if you want to be really sure, it should connect to the SI pin (7)  of the enc28j60 chip

    Thx Peter.

With the schematic and my multimeter i was able to confirm the pin is in fact ST..

I downloaded an external library from git hub called "ethercard.h"  and my arduino is now online as a server..

    works like a charm..

Funny thing though, the default Ethernet libraries don't work, and always end up with server at 0.0.0.0 error.

While the external library works right out of the box with the included examples.

The default libraries are for the WIZNET Ethernet chip (The one the original Arduino Ethernet Shield), not the ENC28J60 on the card you have, the newest libraries are 100% sketch code compatible but you still need to ensure you use the right one

I think my tutorials lesson 4 or 5 talks about this and shows an example of using them and hosting web pages

    Peter
