Heart rate receiver.

Hi everybody.

I have a common heart rate strap from an old watch and i want to ask if it is possible to use this product https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10532 to receive data with an Arduino.

I know that there are heart rate receivers like this one https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8661 but too expensive.

I don't know want kind of transmission the strap have, i assume it is an RF transmitter

dtsartsanis Hi Dimitrios - do you have any idea what frequency it transmits on? Have you got access to an oscilloscope so you could try and investigate it?

Maybe is broken, one of my future plans is to buy one of the above RF receiver and we will see if it is possible for these 2 to work together.
