What's the best LED for edge lighting acrylic?(arduino)

So I was thinking of doing an edge lit etched acrylic project I was just wondering what the best LED would be for this project? I have seen many different types of LED's but was wondering if anyone knew what the best one would be.

Greetings James, RGB LED Strips are possibly your best bet. They are surface mounted and should fit flush with the acrylic sheet edge and provide single or many colors if you wish. You can then control…

RGB LED Strips are possibly your best bet. They are surface mounted and should fit flush with the acrylic sheet edge and provide single or many colors if you wish.
You can then control them with an Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ect..

I'm working on a series about Holiday Lights control.
The same process could be used for your acrylic lights
