Using Arduino Uno to display a text string sent from a website?

Former Member

Hello there,

I have a quick question. Say I create a website and on it is a submit form with a text field. the user on the website enters the text and clicks submit. upon clicking submit; the text is send to an Arduino Uno, which is connected to a wifi shield and can be shown on either a serial monitor or lcd. How can this be achieved? In this scenario, is the Arduino acting as a client? server? does this webpage need to stored in the SD card of the wifi shield as well? please help. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you

cheers
