HELP!! How do I use this screen on an arduino?!?!?!?!?

Former Member

I have a OLED LCD screen, I got in a lucky bag thingy at Maplins (for you Americans, its our local electronics shop). I have found a data sheet but not found it much use, on the unit there is a Few codes and numbers.

On the front there is the screen, then below a little bit of paper with the code " OS096016PP0MB2B10 " then below that there are two other codes " H3610 " and " 50824 ", also engraved on the back very faintly is has another code " D 8 1 8 B U 2 - 0 1 ".

Then below it there is the little ribbon cable.

If it helps it is a very small screen and I hope to use it in a project.

Any help (if any) is appreciated.

I've seen that bag of displays at Maplin, and while their other ones are kind-of useful, I though the bag of displays was very bad because they must know that the displays are near-impossible to use -

just luck if you find documentation, and they don't sell the connectors to the displays anyway.

Another bad Maplin one seems to be the one with ancient (1970's it seems) pots. However the resistor and ceramic capacitor packs, and the small electrolytics pack (the one with the black capacitors, not the larger capacitor pack) are pretty useful.

Other Maplin stuff is ok, but the bag of display is definitely a poor product that they shouldn't sell (or they should supply a bundle of PDFs with it) if they value their customers.

I'd return it if you can - I don't see that as being unreasonable even if you've opened it - because you can say there is no documentation on them, hence impossible to use.
