How can I get a camera on my arduino to show images on my pc without an internet connection?

I am working on a hobby project currently where I want to control an Arduino robot by my laptop. Currently I do not know how I could send a live video feed since I haven't worked with wireless controlling yet, anyone who could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    You could transmit using analog modulation but not many legal ways to do that and depends on the country you're in. Anyway it is not really related to a microcontroller if you want to do this. So digital is probably a more suitable approach. Live video (at any reasonable size and frame rate) entails large amounts of RAM, high speed processing, video compression algorithm. The arduinos are not suitable for any/most of these requirements. You could use a Raspberry Pi with camera modula and 802.11 USB adapter. At the PC end something like VLC will likely work. There are probably dozens/hundreds/thousands of hits on google (I have not checked) for achieving this with the Raspberry Pi.
