Hi guys i need help to flash a Atmega 8 chip

First of all thank you very much for any assistance that u guys can bring to me with the following issue.

 

I need to flash the Atmega 8 with either a arduino or with a breadboard or using both the specs of the chip is the following

ive seen alot of videos on youtube but the problem is that they dont work with a atmega 8

    Is that the right datasheet? (Sorry, I don't work with Atmel bits, so not very familiar with their stuff.)

     

    There's a section on serial programming (section 29.8, page 297). It doesn't look too bad. It's a reasonable write-up of what you have to connect and the commands you send.

     

    Does that tell you what you want to know or is there something more specific you're unsure of?

     

    Take note of what it says about clocks. The processor needs a clock to do the programming - if it isn't set to use the internal clock, you'll need to provide an external clock on xtal1. Also that clock needs to be 2 or 3 times faster than the serial clock you use.

     

    If you're not comfortable with doing it serially, the section before that tells you how to use a parallel mode to do the programming - needs lots more pins, but simpler to control (and faster).
