how to get the current date in arduino without interfacing with pc?

i want to develop a project that is useful in my college... but i need to get the current day(like sunday,monday, etc..) so i didn't find anything..pls help me with your answers

Yes you can use a realtime clock on Arduino (with a small battery inside).
