I am looking for a gsm gps arduino device.

I am looking for a GPRS+GPS arduino device. I have tried one from cooking hacks and have not had much luck with it.

I have the following requirements.

 

1. must be arduino compatable

2. must work with att or verizion

3. needs to have add on antennas.

4. needs to be able to have battery backup

 

It would be nice if......

the gps and cell networked in a building/house

    You could try to print also the answer from the shield:

     

    int8_t sendATcommand(char* ATcommand, char* expected_answer, unsigned int timeout){

     

        uint8_t x=0,  answer=0;

        char response[100];

        unsigned long previous;

     

        ...

         ...

    //add just before the return

        

         if (answer == 1){

              Serial.println(response);

         }else{

              Serial.print("error")

         }

     

        return answer;

    }

     

     

    Then you can see also the answer from the shield, just to know what's happening.
