arduino with gsm module

hello guys... please I need an assistance.. am new to programming and I have an arduino uno board. I have problems with interfacing the board with GSM (sim900a) module which I wanted to use in controlling lighting I also don't know how to go about the coding. the GSM module has 2 sets of pins (6 pins in a group 3vt 3vr 5vt 5vr and 2-gnd) also ( tx rx and gnd as another set)

You can connect arduino with GSM module using Rx,Tx pin and look for AT commands to interact with the GSM module from Arduino. As this require serial port for communication you might look for SoftwareSerial if u are using Arduino UNO/mini.

Hi,

You can find some examples for the coding, but starting for the cabling, can you share with us which shield/board for the sim900a are you using? or send us the link of the datasheet or the webpage you bought it, in order to help you with the wiring.

please this is the details of the module: SIM900A mini, the serial is: MP0615522259120. made by SIMCom version 3.8.2
the pin configurations is actually confusing. i dont know which one to use because it has up to 3 trx and rxt also 3 gnd

connect gsm tx to arduno rx , gsm rx to arduno tx, gsm gnd to arduno gnd

give external supply for gsm
