Arduino Programming Language

Hello,

I'm new to Arduino, currently awaiting my first Uno beginner set. I have read that you program in C++, is that correct? How similar is the language to Visual C++? I hope to build a circuit, and create a Visual C++ app to interface with it.

The language is exactly the same, Chris. It's c++ as you know it. The non-standard libraries are different, and the resources on an Arduino are vastly smaller than on a PC.

yes that's the c language but that is something different from computer science c...header files and other functions are different but it contain void main() as same as original computer science c!
