Hello everybody, I have a question about the arduino Mega's serial communication. If I wanted to connect 3 arduinos to its serial pins would I be able to connect with each one of them to run different tasks. Also is it possible for an arduino to "scan" for a device that's plugged into one of its pins, sort of how windows scans for a USB device when it is plugged ? If it is possible is it due to a specific way of programming the boards? I know the programs loop so lets say nothing is found in any other serial ports until something is connected and something is put HIGH. I'm sorry I'm just curious and I'm also trying to learn.
