Arduino Due with USB Shield

I have just switched from using a MEGA 2560 to an Arduino DUE. I needed the DUE because the MEGA was incapable of taking on the load I as subjecting to it. I am fairly new to electronics and arduino , so I would appreciate any help. I am using a USB shield for my project and I have come to understand that unlike MEGA, DUE operates at 3.3 V. Hence providing anything more would only damage the board. I have been trying to figure out the schematics of my USB shield, but have gotten very perplexed about it. Can anyone please tell me if it is possible for me to use the follwing USB shield :http://www.thaieasyelec.com/downloads/EFDV521/Datasheet_Keyes_USBHostShield.pdf with my Due?

So the picture of the back of the shield shows that the 3.3V output of the shield is converted to 5V before it enters the 5v pin of the board.
The 5v pin of the board does not go through a regulator so has to be 5v exact ( which I think it should be given that the regulator on the shield will ensure it is, right?)
So does that mean, all is good?
Does that also mean I may not be able to use my 5v on the Due for output of 5v now?

Sorry, I'm quite wrong. Having the two links doesn't connect the supplies together, so there won't be damage to the processor on that score. Also my worry about the USB is unfounded - I thought it was a slave but it's actually a host and it needs to be able to power the USB device with the +5V from the Due.

One final thing I am slightly uncomfortable about is the ARD_MISO 5V signal from U6 going to a 3.3V IO pin on the processor on the Due. It might still be worth asking the manufacturer if it is ok using this board with the Due.

Hi everyone...i am a new user here. I think +3V3 and +5V both linked. On a Due, I think that would connect the +5V to the +3V3 output of the +3V3 regulator and put +5V on the processor (you really, really don't want to do that). Also, your USB +5V would be connected to the Due +5V and both would be trying to power the system.
Unfortunately, the document refers you to a non-existent 'Power Options section,' which isn't very helpful. Perhaps you should contact the manufacturer and ask them for the link configuration given that this might lead to damage of your processor board.
