Creating DuPont equivalent crimp terminal

What’s the generic term for the single pin crimp terminal to stick on the end of a wire in order to push into an Arduino header socket?  I’m used to the term Dupont connector but this isn’t a search term recognised by Farnell or CPC and there seems to be a fair mix of crimp terminals that may or may not be correct.

    I guess crimping is rarely reqd in a single pin connector.It just fits in socket in Arduino board.I used to have a crimping tool that can be both used for Wire stripping & for crimping & splicing purposes.

    Indeed so. In my case I need a wire length of about 750mm. Hence I went to search for these connectors. Something I seldom do.

    This doesn't really address the question, but worth putting here since it is related to the mating end, i.e. crimp sockets...

    This sort of tool is great.. AMP 90202-2, which is really low-cost in used condition. Just saw this on ebay today for instance:

    I end up using it on almost every prototype, since I use pin headers (instead of sockets) on stripboards etc, so the tool is used for the sockets part code 2226TG which fits normal pin headers. The tool and that socket work great.. 100% success rate, and the tool allows for a selection of insulation thickness and stranded wire thickness, and it's easier to use that tool than the normal handheld ratchet tools.

    I don't use crimp pins much (that tool is definitely not suitable for them since it slightly bends the pins, although it is OK-ish at a pinch), but if I need a temporary connection to just a few signals, then I might pull out pins from a pin header, and half push them into the socket, to alter it from a socket into a pin.
