Arduino.dll

Hi everybody
Did someone already write a dll for Arduino?
I would like to control I/O from a custom application.

I had a look to Processing but i don’t think that will match my needs?
The application is an home automation software writed in VB and all the other hardware drivers are using dll.
An arduino.dll will be preferred
