Working with NI software

Hi. As it happens, I wouk with NI software experts. I'm fairly new to Arduino, and this question may have been covered. But I'm learning NI's LabView and want to use it with Arduino. My question is. Does the Ardunio (I have the UNO R3) need a special bootloader when using LabView? I have downloaded what I need from NI, installed everything. If so, where can I get it. Thanks for the help everyone...

You should have the VI package manager, then the LIFA. The LIFA (LabVIEW Interface for Arduino) contains the sketch you will need uploaded to the Arduino.
After the sketch is loaded properly, plug in the Arduino, go to your device manager and view the COM port for the Arduino. Make sure you are using the correct COM port for your VI.
