Need help

Hello group

this is my first time on this discussion group I'm building a remote control for my trains I have a keypad which I'm trying to hook up with the Ede1144

using a serial connection to ardunio need help and set up of ardunio to read the keypad and then send it to the LCD need to use two buttons for up-and-down to scroll my menu any help out there would be greatly appreciated Tom

Welcome Tom,
here is the datasheet for the EDE1144 now depending on the LCD you're using you should be able to get that hooked as well. Is your arduino going to be hardwired to your train or are you thinking of using some kinda of wireless protocol? Because that would require some extra hardware.
