Communication with Windows PC

Hello All,

I am new to Arduino. I want to setup a communication between Arduino UNO board and my PC for example I need to store some values into a .txt file when an LED blinks. I am little familiarize with Gobetwino but I do not know how to use it. Please give me some idea how can I do it?

    Hi Anurag

If you just want to get data to be accessible on your PC after you have collected them, you could simply use an SD Card adapter with the Arduino that would allow you to open a file and write data to it within the Arduino sketch. The SD card can then be removed and accessed on your PC with a card reader.

Look at the examples in the SDlibrary.

If you are keen to use Gobetwino, have a look at my blog here:  http://www.element14.com/community/people/neilk/blog/2012/04/18/fun-with-gobetwino

Also, have a look at writing data to an SD card, using those data to maintain a Web page and then query the data from the Web page into Excel on the PC, all in Real Time.:

    Best wishes
