I'm connecting a 2 way valve to an arduino uno R3 (powered from the laptop) and i was wondering will the valves have enough current to open so that the water will stream (6 of them) or I need to connect the arduino to any external power source?

Here is a typical drive circuit for a 12V valve:
The FET needs to turn on with logic levels and be big enough to handle to valve current without overheating.
If the FET is very large it may be wise to put a 10 Kohm resistor between it and the UNO.
