Input a signal from a sensor to an Arduino Due

I'm working with Arduino Due and I have a sensor that outputs a square signal with voltages in the range of 0-5V.

In the Due specs there is a warning that says:

"Warning: Unlike other Arduino boards, the Arduino Due board runs at 3.3V. The maximum voltage that the I/O pins can tolerate is 3.3V. Providing higher voltages, like 5V to an I/O pin could damage the board."

Is it possible to connect it to the board?

    Just put voltage divider on sensor output.... it will work great and about talk to sensor 3.3V logic is enough to drive logic1 on 5V sensor...

    Hi Matt,

    There are level conversion modules available that will convert a 5 volt output sensor to 3.3 volt level. I do not know your exact application but you should be able to find a converter. The other options are to cut the voltage with a resistive divider or use 3.3 volt sensors.

    And if the sensor also needs 5V to operate, can it be supplied by the Arduino Due?

    Yes, there is a 5V output on the Due as you can see in this picture, as long as your not drawing too much power

    Yes, there is a 5V output on the Due as you can see in this picture, as long as your not drawing too much power
