How to build an arduino Detonator?

nschreiber0813

Dear: Element 14

I am almost finished with my rover 5 chassis and I was thinking of building a detonator with arduino. I would like the detonator to do the following.

  • Have a 5 by 5 timer
  • Arm and Disarm safety switch
  • An LED to tell weather or not it is armed or not
  • Two buttons to adjust the timer.
  • Power switch

Could you please help me because I don't know where to start? By the way my intention for this is to build a model rocket launcher. Thank you.

I was very worried by your post until you said that you would use it for rockets. Please be careful with this around cops and don't try to fly with it.

Its open source and also it shows you the basics, you can still base your design on this adding your own improvements as you see fit Either way, glad I could help and good luck, we expect pictures etc…

By "fly" I meant travel with it on an airplane.

so its you travelling on a plane with it as carry on or luggage  ??

or your mounting it on a model plane/drone/quad-copter with a rocket or some other explosive device and planning on "Launching" it via the detonator (Igniter circuit) using a remote control ??

Carry on or luggage is what I meant, it would have to be a big drone for you to travel on it. Although a giant drone with rockets is an interesting idea for when I take over the world. *evil laugh*

Yes I do agree a drone that fires rockets would be a brilliant way to conquer the world. But I wish there was a way you could do that by staying in-between the law but anyways cool!!!image
