Handheld transmitter

Any ideas?Or way to obsolete that no one knows?

There are many ways you could make a skateboard wireless. First of all you should know that you are going to need servo motors to make a RC skateboard so I suggest you do mechanical and electrical before programming. Second of all there are many great tutorials with raspberry PI so why don't you use that to make your skateboard wireless. See a raspberry pi is a PCB primarily designed to be wireless for robots and stuff so that would be good for you. Also you are going to need voltage regulators to power the servos and a big battery so I wish you good luck.

I am using an arduino not a Rpi. Seems like you didn't get the idea. It should be handheld so the transmitter should be thin(thinnest possible ). I am not using servo's, just two RC brushless motors. Receiver is on the arduino on the skateboard. Next, I'm using it to be controlled by the skateboard/handheld transmitter so there should not be interference between signals. Mechanical engineering is all planned out except the transmitter and that is why I posted it on this forum.

I suggest you go here for a tutorial. Here is a great tutorial for how to using arduino RC. Good luck but I really recommend is you use Ethernet but alright.

In that case I think I have been misreading what you have been asking. The only you can do this is to reinvent the wheel by making a custom PCB. This PCB will need the following.

• antenna
• Easy controlls (which you already showed me).
• Good programming

So in that case I ask you what you need help with.

An example of a very simple transmitter / receiver could be based on the TI Booster Pack (CC110L Booster sub 1GHz radio) http://www.ti.com/tool/430boost-cc110l

this has a simple to use transmitter on a board, it comes with an MSP430 MCU and the board has a prototype Area to put the MCU on the same board if you want, you get a Pair for very little $$$   (<20$ for a pair)

I have already made up one with a DHT11 Temp/humidity sensor and a switch, it was very simple to do, there are plenty of IO available as well as ADC, PWM etc

If you get one MSP430G launchpad (12$ from TI or from E14)

then this gives you the programmer platform you need and you can program with Energia which is the exact same (Except it is red) as the Arduino IDE, a significant set of Arduino programs will work with little to no alteration

If you want to run the radios with Arduino you can if you choose, there connected with SPI so easy to do

Note the capacitive slider space on the left and right of the board, based on you example interface, this could meet the bill. This of course would be a prototype but all the parts needed are represented in the above set of components I have linked in

None of it includes interfacing to a phone but it does everything else including a hand controller.  and that can be achieved with a CC3000, 3100, 3200 based booster boards.

Thanks Peter, but you're not really at the point. It should be 3*16 cm. And I require help in finding a nice transmitter and receiver with least voltage consumed(as well as amps).

That transmitter would probably work for you, but it needs digital data in, so you would need an analog to serial digital converter (you could use a micro controller).  Your arduino at the other end (on the skateboard) would be able to handle the serial data, should be easy enough to write the code.  If you want to use bluetooth with a phone like you mentioned, you're going to probably need some sort of microcontroller (ATTiny85 is a pretty small MCU) to perform the analog to digital conversion and interface with the bluetooth module.  Then you'd need to write a cellphone app to send the bluetooth commands, and the arduino code to process them.  There are probably libraries available to handle the interface with the bluetooth module.
