Arduino Leonardo, why so unpoppular?

I have been using the arduino leonard for quite a while and was wondering why it seems so unpopular compared to the uno online. It was released way back in July 2012 and yet still does not seen to be as popular as the uno. It is cheaper than the uno, has more more io and can emulate a keyboard and mouse, so why is it not more popular. I understand that it takes a while for new technology to be adopted but come on, it has been over a year. Why do you think no one uses it?

Samuel, I suspect it may be because there are so many cheap clone UNO boards out there. Additionally most libraries and code examples seem to be targeted at the UNO or predecessor. although the Leonardo can emulate a mouse or keyboard, what practical use are these features? If you needed such inputs then a Raspi might be a better choice. Who knows? These are just my thoughts

Samuel, in my earlier reply I did not intend to infer that the Raspi could emulate a mouse or keyboard but rather if a project required such inputs the Raspi might be a better choice. I can see how a friendly 'prank' might create a bit of fun if done in an environment among friends or family. Regarding the Chinese manufacturer's cloning Leo then my belief is that if they do not see a demand then they will not invest time in producing such products. Best of luck with your projects with the Leo. I do not think this thread is going to develop much dialogue around the lack of interest in the Leo.
