Arduino as a test system in ZigBee

Hi all Arduino fans

I am looking into using using an arduino as a proof of concept for a sensor in a ZigBee network and I am looking for a couple of suitable sensors, including something to act as a water detector, we are talking bathroom / shower room washing machine room here, not river flooding. I am waiting for a RF shield for my Mega with a ZigBee module so that this should work OK as far as I can tell but I need something to trigger in a case of water on the floor. Once this part of the testing is out of the way I am going to look at other uses in the ZigBee network and I am going to writing up some blogs as I work through my PhD so any help here will be appreciated and your will, hopefully, see the fruits of your ideas image

Have a look at these sensors, there are loads on eBay, very cheap. I use one has a rain detector on my Garden and Greenhouse monitoring system. I have used it now for about 2 years still working well. Communications between the various garden controllers is by ZigBee, incredibly robust. Let me know if you need further help.

    Regards

    John

Thanks John. I am looking for a cheap solution as this is an ongoing, multi-strand project and this fits the bill nicely.
