Arduino Duemilanove : Driver Not installing

rishi2628
rishi2628 over 10 years ago

I have a duemilanove board that used to connect to the pc without any problems. Then I updated my arduino software to v1.0.6 and now it shows that I have no driver installed (FT232R USB UART).

I have tried reinstalling the arduino software, manually installing the driver and even downloading and installing the FTDI driver from the FTDI site. What should i do to connect it to my pc. Please help!

    Hi,

Try installing the same old version of your Arduino IDE software, don't update that. It might happen sometimes that new software's dll driver files are not suited/not compatible with  the USB programmer cable of the board you are working on and keeping the same operating system.

The same thing is faced sometimes working with  software named as XCTU (latest version) for zigbee modules as well.

    Thanks,

    Akshay
