How make a header file MT88L85

Hello

I am working on a project of my, which is a Telephone simulator. I wish to use Adriano Uno so that it can read the voltage when on hook and off hook and see the current. This part I think is the easy part.

What I need is to write a header file to set up a MT88L85 to read dtmf signal and display on a LCD. For now I just want to read the data from the chip. I have looked all over the place, but didn't fine one that

match for what I need. later I will be writing to it to make command to a device at other end.

Can anybody help me out here?

Just to clarify... Are you looking to build a device that connects to a telephone handset, to the public switched telephone network, or something else?

I work for a company that makes a telephone for school campus, and I am trying to make it eraser to troubleshoot and repair on the bench.

Do you have any information about the characteristics of the phone? or is it a standard handset.

Hello Paul;

The phone that I am working on is design for school campus; like URI and CCRI; detail for emergency calls to campus police.
It is programmable to dial out to any number. I wish built a simulator to be able read the on hook / off hook voltage and current and able to read the DTMF code coming from the phone.

For the most part this phone is a standard handset, with the ability to be program remotely from an other phone.

I wish built the simulator with these function, later upgrade it to be able send DTMF codes to a phone.
I wish to do the simple thing first, then make mods it later.
