Arduino & Zigbee & MQTT

markvenn
markvenn over 10 years ago

HiI am looking at using a Yun with a wireless shield with xbee module on to act as a gateway between MQTT and zigbee network with the Yun doing the conversion between Zigbee messages and MQTT. (Not sure how this bit goes yet...) Anyway, is there any reason why this should not work? I have the MQTT library pubsubclient so I will be playing around with this side of things to start with. I could also use an Uno with the ethernet shield to give this a try; i did wonder about the power requirements being too much for the Yun, using the xbee setup on top, so a Uno with a 12v supply might be best.

Anyway, your thoughts please!

look at number 7 blog post, this is specifically with the Yun and an NRF24L01 but simply replace the code for the NRF with Zigbee and you will be most of the way there

Number 5 looks really useful too! image As such, I am taking off the "helpful answer" and going straight to "Correct Answer".

    Thanks again Peter
