Sponges are awesome in themselves, being able to clean just about anything that’s been spilled. But what happens if you combine it with an Arduino? Strange and unreasoning things, that’s what I can tell you. Enter a man named Aaron, he decided to make an art project for a friend of his and came up with the idea of using wet sponges to make music with. He uses a wrist attachment and when he ‘draws’ water from the sponge it creates a note. The only way I can perceive this is to use an Arduino, that he calls a ‘microcontroller’, to create the notes and make a rudimentary form of music. To get a better understanding of what Aaron created please see the video that’s been embedded here.
