ESP32CAM

Reginaldo_F
Reginaldo_F over 3 years ago

I'm trying to make an application with esp32CAM for mobile, but I would like to use a local network, where I don't have internet.

The transmission cover from about 3km to 5km.

Does anyone know how to do it, like what hardware and software will I need?

Thanks.

Your best bet is LTE. Next best would be to look up how to implement "long range Wi-Fi". Hopefully you have a pretty clear line-of-sight or it is going to be very challenging.

Sounds a bit like what this TurboTenna plus Catch and Share solution aims to do: https://www.danets.com/turbotenna/UpCnSR.php They suggest 3.8km is possible with line of sight.

    Hi,

    I'll reply if no-one else does : )

The description is vague. There's a mix of terms that make no sense to me at least. You mention mobile in the first part of the sentence, but then mention a local network in the next, and then rule out Internet ,but mobile data connectivity almost always involves the Internet in some way. The second sentence makes it worse... how does the local network cover 3-5km? (it's feasible but I suspect that you mean something else). There's at least a couple of paradoxes there.

Plus, I'm not even sure what the aim is.

You could write down requirements, and then try to draw a block diagram or more, of an idea or ideas at a high level, that could meet your needs.

You can then try to flesh it out, not before : )
