Hi. I'm new to this community, but not to arduino. I've been collecting tools and parts to build an rc car from scratch. I recently acquired the necessary knowledge to create a gear box for using toy motors.
So here is the deal.
1. I have wood and power tools but am still designing the body of the car.
2. I have some toy motors and servos for driving the car.
3. I've experimented with Bluetooth and successfully wrote a sketch to control the car somewhat, but the Bluetooth takes up a lot of memory when coding. So I've chosen to use infrared.
4. I have no idea how to use infrared.
5. When I was experimenting with Bluetooth, I noticed that the arduino has specials ways of responding to inputs. I chose infrared because I figured I wouldn't need to communicate by serial connection.
Why did I post this?
Basically I'm still learning all the ins and outs of robotics. I have the tools, but the knowledge keeps hiding. So any helpful hints of techy wisdom would be appreciated.
And once again hi, It's awesome to be in a community of makers and inventors.
Thanks
