So, over the last two months I have been designing my first arduino/electronics project. Right now this is all in design phase, I have no physical hardware besides the VFD's that I plan to use. I used some simple power management IC's to hopefully control Grid, Filament, and Anode's of the displays since they are connected in series. I know I am missing a few components more than likely that are necessary for proper clock function and I figured it would be best to show my schematic for feedback and redesign as needed. I do plan on using an AC to DC converting wall wart to power the board once it is fully designed and boards have been manufactured. My design is largely based off of the DCF-77 Radio Controlled Clock which is available to view on danyk.cz under the Microcontroller section. I designed using PCBWeb Designer. As of late the software has been giving me issues (hard crashes, A TON) since they made the change from using Digi-Key to Arrow as their parts catalog. Let me know what you think, even though there are kits available to do what I am. This project was merely a way to see what went into PCB design and the like. I look forward to hearing and reading the feedback, and soon, hopefully, to get some pcb's made!
