I think you posted in the wrong area. It will be better to move it to Arduino. You can do this by editing this post and change the area at the bottom.
You could perhaps try and elaborate on what you have searched and tried so far. I'm not sure about the Arduino processing photos. Wouldn't an infrared or ultrasonic distance sensor be enough for your application?
