Arduinio Drucksensor

Hallo liebe USER,

MFG Thomas

Considering your trying to measure 5Bar, you will want a transducer that goes above that for safety and for ensuring you don't saturate the readings

these are a few available directly from Newark (Element14) that should satisfy your needs, some of them provide a voltage output that could be directly read by the arduino or pre-processed by a voltage divider or amplifier

    http://canada.newark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?catalogId=15003&langId=1&storeId=10196&categoryId=800000005754&st=pressure%20aensor&pageSize=25&showResults=true&sf=422&pf=810042608

a point to note is SAFETY. when measuring GAS (Explosive mixtures) it is critical that the transducers are rated for this use and of course with any temperature extremes that may be present. In the gas industry (In the UK) this is often referred to as Intrinsically Safe Devices where power is limited out to the measuring device in order to minimize the chances of an explosion should GAS and a spark occur in the same place. One popular techniques is to use 4-20mA loops with isolation barriers in-between the controller and the transducer. (Beyond the scope of this discussion, but loads of information on the WEB)

with voltage or current devices it is a simple matter to read the values with the analog inputs of the arduino, possibly with suitable pre processing for current to volts for example, there are loads of example code for reading the analog inputs on the atmel devices.

Be careful !!! and good luck

    regards

    Peter

    Hello Peter,

furthermore i need to install an air flow rate sensor, but i only find a sensor for water, fuel and so on and not for air.

    Could you help me?

    Thank you in advance

    ebay has quite a selection

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/Business-Industrial-/12576/i.html?_from=R40&_sac=1&_nkw=air+flow+sensor

also this may shed more light on the subject http://www.flowmeters.com/

from my quick checks, ebay may be your best bet, you will however need to create code and or circuitry to convert it to a signal able to be read /used by the Arduino

    depending on what you choose.

    Hallo Thomas,

    Guido
